If you want to tour the Thanet area you need a car. Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate are only a few minutes away. Broadstairs was our favourite. You can understand why Charles Dickens loved living there.

Beautiful seaside village, great restaurants, friendly vibes, amazing sandy beach, walking trails, great little gift & antique shops, very busy on the long weekend we were there, but it didn’t feel too crazy crowded, recommend visiting Broadstairs.

Really pretty, lovely clean sandy beaches.
Really pretty, lovely clean sandy beaches. A small seaside town with only a small shopping area with small independent stores. Some nice restaurants.
As with many seaside towns there are some closed down shops and more maintenance needed in places, a little jaded in parts. However the main town Beach, Viking Bay is one of the prettiest I’ve seen. Residents were friendly and it felt safe.

Do not visit in the winter or when it is raining.
Do not visit in the winter or when it is raining. The menu is very limited at weekends and if there is a function at the time of visit, you can forget about any available facilities in the hotel.
We booked tea for one evening and this was extremely disappointing for the amount of money charged.

good location near beach and over looking sea , although our room had no view. Lovely coastal walk , went in winter I guess- march , but still a lovely walk and we were lucky with the bright days .lunch was lovely as was breakfast. Staff very accommodating and attentive, nice bar area to chill in the evening. Room above woke us at 5am as floor boards very creaky but bed was comfortable
I would say that Jo went above and beyond as our host, very nice lady welcoming and warm and very well informed. Me and my boyfriend/partner, were very happy with our stay. had a really lovely time, at Broad Stairs in Kent where we stayed.
lots to do and see, good food restaurants for all, enjoyed the fresh burger at the Viking Bay Cafe, was delicious. We both feel revived after our break. The weather was good to,re so only being there for the weekend made all the difference.
Thanks Jo and Adam,

From housekeeping, through to the bar, restaurant , reception and spa staff all were courteous and efficient. Restaurant food was first class and our room was extremely comfortable. An added touch was some complimentary biscuits as well as hot chocolate in addition to the usual tea and coffee. Hotel is only a 6 or 7 minute walk to Broadstairs seafront.
We loved the space of the house. It is is on 3 floors, has 3 toilets, 2 bathrooms. Fantastic location- a couple of mins from the beach and 1 min from.the main street with loads of good restaurants. Broadstairs is a very beautiful location. I think it has been my favourite of all the different places I have stayed at on the Kent seaside.
Thé property was perfect! The apartment was welcoming. The kitchen included utensils, plates, saucers, microwave, oven, etc. everything you need for a comfortable stay. Added bonus, a nice cozy patio. Located in the heart of Broadstairs! Do I recommend this B&B? Yes, in fact, we booked it again for the Spring.
great room.Breakfast delivered to door due to covd, select from menu the day before, presented beautifully in a wooden box warm croissants, fresh juice, yogurts etc. Coffee available all day and nibbles in the lounge area. Location a few minutes from the beach with parking. Would definitely recommend.
Needed somewhere to stay for one night. The Crown Bar & Guesthouse came up on an Google search. Great location just a little off the sea front in Broadstairs. The room that I had used shared bathroom but that wasn't an issue with me. Other rooms have private facilities. A friendly welcome on arrival.
We were made to feel very welcome at this friendly family run hotel. The food was excellent and the room very comfortable and clean. Set in a lovely location with stunning views overlooking Stone Bay with easy access to the beach and within strolling distance of beautiful Broadstairs and Viking Bay.
The location is wonderful right near Viking Bay and close to lots of things. The shower is wonderful as well and the flat was very clean and comfortable. With the location and the design of the flat, it makes a perfect place to stay while in Broadstairs.
A wonderful little hotel in the heart of Broadstairs! The proprietors are friendly, welcoming, and make a delicious breakfast. My room was lovely and the bed the comfiest thing I've slept on ever!
Quiet location but really convenient for station/shops/restaurants and beach.
Lovely retro town offering easy access to other Kent seaside locations and Canterbury.
Would definitely go again.
Beautiful room. Lovely bed. Laura on the front desk is awesome. Really looked after us. The views are so good that we started talking about moving back to East Kent! Good variety of drinks.
The hotel is perfectly well situated in Broadstairs, in front of the beach and at 5mn walk to the city center. Beautifull vue on the sea.
Warm welcome and breakfast delicious !!
Great location, friendly welcoming staff, lovely big room and the dinner was well worth staying at the hotel for. We would certainly come again. Top marks! 😉
