If you want to tour the Thanet area you need a car.

It is a very pleasant place to be.
It is a very pleasant place to be. Nice characterful buildings and individual shops. The sandy beach looked clean, with safe swimming area. Plenty of good places to eat and stop for drinks. Hotels within walking distance of the shops and bay. Buses every 10 minutes around the coast to Margate and Ramsgate. Part of the Coastal Path. Dickens museum.

Beautiful seaside village, great restaurants, friendly vibes, amazing sandy beach, walking trails, great little gift & antique shops, very busy on the long weekend we were there, but it didn’t feel too crazy crowded, recommend visiting Broadstairs.

Really pretty, lovely clean sandy beaches. A small seaside town with only a small shopping area with small independent stores. Some nice restaurants. As with many seaside towns there are some closed down shops and more maintenance needed in places, a little jaded in parts. However the main town Beach, Viking Bay is one of the prettiest I’ve seen. Do not visit in the winter or when it is raining. The menu is very limited at weekends and if there is a function at the time of visit, you can forget about any available facilities in the hotel. Lovely coastal walk , went in winter I guess- march , but still a lovely walk and we were lucky with the bright days .lunch was lovely as was breakfast. Me and my boyfriend/partner, were very happy with our stay. had a really lovely time, at Broad Stairs in Kent where we stayed. lots to do and see, good food restaurants for all, enjoyed the fresh burger at the Viking Bay Cafe, was delicious. Fantastic location- a couple of mins from the beach and 1 min from.the main street with loads of good restaurants. Broadstairs is a very beautiful location. I think it has been my favourite of all the different places I have stayed at on the Kent seaside.
