The hotel was modern and inviting with lots of little extras like snacks available for purchase. We did not take advantage of the spa or adjacent sports complex but it made a nice package for a longer stay. Comfortable beds, good shower and convenient restaurant with tasty offerings.
In the beautiful North Wales countryside, this award-winning, traditional British inn blends the warm welcome of a local pub with delicious food, excellent service and a comfortable bed.

Grynfrwn was wonderful! The town was delightful with many shops and a handful of restaurants. Lots of lunch and tea spots. There were plenty of sites to visit for a small town such as a castle, 1600s home, port area and church’s! The hotel had a great breakfast, and wonderful hosts and staff plus an American style bathroom. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The castle dominates the skyline on approach to the town. Wandering through it and climbing up the towers was awesome. The walk around the top of the city walls was also interesting. It was one of our two favorite places in Wales. It'sa very walkable small town. Had a great lunch at "Two on the Square" sandwich shop.
Historic town. EASILY walkable, cobbles notwithstanding. Everything (historic sites, restaurants, waterfront) easily accessible from anywhere inside the walls. Could be problematic for driving, but we trained in so not a problem for us. Near-perfect weather helped, but would still be a nice visit even with wet weather.

Conwy was a beautiful town that we enjoyed very much. We could walk everywhere and see the castle from anywhere. There were a lot of pubs with good food and we also ate at 2 higher end restaurants that we enjoyed very much. Walk to the quay and enjoy the locals and tourists having a good time.

We went to Conway for an Easter break with our 4 year old Grandchild. We also took our well behaved dog Harvey. We have travelled all over Europe with our dog and never had a problem taking him anywhere.
However most restaurants, pubs and shops in Conway we found would not allow dogs. Even the castle where we were unable to experience this main attraction with our grandchild and the staff being very dismissive when we asked. We were not allowed into the shoe shop!
Despite having a wonderful cottage to stay in, we will not be staying in Conway again and will inform other dog owners of this unfriendly side to the town.

Quiet at this time of year, (February) gets very busy in summer.
We found a good Indian restaurant, Spice Safai, only very small, but the food was very good.
Parking charges during the day are a bit high, not very welcoming for visitors, but they have you over a barrel!
The castle dominates the town and is quite something. We didn't visit it perhaps next time.
Lots of quirky shops etc.
I was down for the weekend exploring north Wales. I drove and found lots of places to visit within a 30 drive of the hotel.
Conwy has lots to see and Llandudno was only 30ish mins away by car and easy to spend a whole day there so the hotel sits in a good location.
Nice that the rooms had hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee.
It was nice and quiet location, benches outside to sit and eat. Staff were very friendly at check in. Really liked that the car park was so big too plenty of spaces.
The hotel has an excellent location in the heart of the walled city of Conwy, only a couple of blocks from the train station. The property is very atmospheric, with unique rooms and local decor. Breakfast, in the attached restaurant, was excellent and a combination of items ordered from a menu, supplemented with continental offerings. Dinner at the restaurant, while not included, was very reasonable and excellent. Parking was very convenient.
-the most amazing and friendly hosts. They make us feel so welcome.
-the rooms are sparkling clean
-the bed is extra big and comfortable
-amazing facilities with a perfect bathroom
-Breakfast is outstanding and very tasty
-perfect location to visit Conwy Castle or Bodnant garden
-we have visited Wales many times and this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in with the most reasonable price
-will definitely stay here again to visit Conwy
the property is within walking distance from the castle and town centre.
extremely clean rooms and although I didn’t have an en-suite, (room 4’s bathroom is down the hall) it was clean and not an inconvenience.
there is a fridge where you can keep your items and has milk and water for you to take, which is brilliant.
the breakfast was absolutely delicious and a range of juices and cereal is available.
the Hotel had only been open for a matter of weeks and there where still small signs of development works going on, the staff could not of been more helpful. They where friendly and helpful. We will be very much looking forward to going back.I wish them all the best for the future. regards Graeme Morgan from Mid Wales
We celebrated our wedding here yesterday on 1st September 2022.
The staff and organisation was amazing.
The food was delicious, many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they had tasted.
We had the best day. THANK YOU THE QUAY HOTEL ANS SPA.
A special thank you to Jane and Sophie
Cosy room overlooking a peaceful garden and trees, 3 mins walk from the castle, quay and town centre. Great bed, cosy window seat for reading. TV unobtrusive which is perfect. Whole place felt very clean, easy to avoid social contact, breakfast delivered in cute little basket.
The welcome was exceptional, the service excellent. I have always loved Conway since childhood holidays and to stay in the Castle Hotel right in the centre was perfect for a short stopover on the way back from the ferry from Ireland.
The location was GREAT relative to the city walls, the castle, and all the things in town in general. The property was characterful and very clean. Communications with the owner were excellent.
Spotlessly clean. Lovely location. Short walk into Conwy Town. Very considerate welcome package of a freshly baked loaf, homemade butter, fresh milk and a cake. Comfortable bed and superb shower.
The Welsh breakfast was great. We like having the pub and restaurant downstairs. The location was an easy drive for us to get both to Conwy and Snodownia. The sea view rooms were nice.
The views from the property were amazing. You can see the mountains in the distance. Very quiet at night and only a short drive from Conwy and all its facilities.
